REPLICA announces its third Harmonization Meeting

The REPLICA Project is proud to announce the third Harmonization meeting involving researchers and international partners. The two-day session is going to be held on May 26 and May 28 2021.

Due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held online with the following schedule:

  • May 26: Harmonization phase 1 (3 pm-5 pm Italian time)
  • May 28: Training Lab meeting phase 1 (3pm-5pm Italian time)

The meeting represents a great opportunity for all the researchers and partners involved to share ideas, suggestions and updates on the project, setting the next goals to achieve.

In this first years of project, the independent network of international labs involved in Replica achieved important international awards: the Society for Research on Nicotine & Tobacco (SRNT) shortlisted the Center of Excellence for the acceleration of Harm Reduction (CoEHAR) for the 2021 edition of its annual meeting.

The CoEHAR presented two different studies during the meeting: Role of smoke on ACE-2 membrane protein expression in bronchial epithelial cells” and “Medium-long term storage condition of Cambridge filter pads (CFPs) for nicotine dosimetry , both developed by Replica labs.

Replica is one of the most ambitious projects of the CoEHAR: the standardization of the methodologies in the electronic cigarettes research field , thanks to the network of international labs, will help replicating and validating some of the most important international scientific studies.
